Canadian Dental Care Plan

Golden Care Dental Services is proud to be supporting the new Canadian Dental Care Plan

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal government program intended to reduce financial barriers to oral health care.

Our Commitment:

We at Golden Care are committed to full participation as an oral health care provider under the CDCP.

We know that every Canadian deserves accessible, affordable and essential oral health care and we are proud to be supporting this important new plan for both existing and new patients.

The program will provide coverage towards the cost of dental care for Canadian residents who do not have dental benefits and have a household income of less than $90,000 a year.

Applications for enrollment in the CDCP opened for seniors in December 2023 and remain open today.

What does the CDCP offer?

The CDCP is like any other dental insurance plan, it is meant to provide support for the cost of oral health services.   It is not built to make dental care free to the people that qualify.

The plan will:

        • Cover a percentage of your dental fees
        • Cover a limited range of services
        • Allow Golden Care to receive payment directly for the insurable amount so you do not have to pay the entire amount out of pocket

The plan will not:

        • Pay for the entire treatment provided
        • Cover the higher fees associated with the provision of mobile dental care in Long-Term Care and Retirement homes, which is more costly to deliver than in traditional dental offices

 Golden Care will:

        • Pre-determine the fees you will be responsible for (the amount that is not covered by the CDCP)
        • Continue to be transparent with you on all clinical and financial matters
